saw a video about a singer who canceled the fireworks show at her concert because she noticed that a stray dog was quietly watching her performance and she didn’t want to scare him away and maybe maybe there’s still hope for humankind

❝ Brazilian singer Taty Girl left her fans speechless during a concert when she made an unexpected decision: she suspended the fireworks show she had planned to protect a homeless dog who was attending the show.

While singing, Taty noticed the presence of a dog she named “Caramelo,” who was calmly watching from a distance. Without hesitation, she told her audience: “We will not launch any more fireworks, Caramelo does not like them. Out of respect for him, we will not use them. You can see that he is there quietly, enjoying the show.”

Taty’s gesture was applauded by the audience, who not only admired her sensitivity, but also suggested that she adopt the dog. According to reports, the singer listened to the voices of her fans and decided to take Caramelo home, ensuring him a life full of love and care. ❞

You know what, even IF trans girls were universally better at sports than cis girls, they should still be allowed to play on their high school sports teams because the mental health and well-being of trans kids, the social support kids get from sports, and the societal benefit of basic inclusion and normalization of trans kids are more important than who wins a volleyball game or whatever

I didn’t realize that girls got a say, or universally agreed on, who got to be on their sports teams. I wish I’d known this when I was 12– I’d have voted out Molly, who violated my boundaries by being a bitch

I went to school with a Paralympian. A multiple gold medal winner, no less. She used to beat us all hollow at every bloody sport, even though - and I cannot stress this enough - we weren’t even doing the sport she became a Paralympic gold medalist in.

But she was never barred from participating because she was too good. No one ever looked at her and went “Well, she has an unfair advantage” and banished her to a Paralympians Only team. The nature of sport is that some people will be better than you. We weren’t whiny little bitches about that who tried to get her disqualified so we could feel more special. We just understood that she was better than us, and got on with it.

Honestly, if you can’t handle some people being better than you - whether that’s down to raw talent, private coaching, or just higher natural physical stats - you probably shouldn’t be in sports at all

sorry…. are you saying you think being disabled gave her an unfair advantage against you? you think she was winning because she was disabled?

This is the most astonishing intentional misreading of something to try and start shit I’ve seen in some time

@nutmegan17 on tiktoks eating tray hack

By keeping a tray full of no prepare necessary food, in the fridge it can be used to aid neurodivergent or fatigued people.

By putting food like, cheese and crackers, or whatever is a safe food for you personally on the tray, it can be taken easily to the couch or bed to be eaten from whenever you are hungry.

This prevents executive dysfunction or fatigue and any reason preventing you from eating. You need to care of yourself because everyone needs food to stay alive including you.

You deserve to eat even when on a bad brain day and are unable to prepare a meal for yourself.

If not having a full meal doesn’t satisfy you, a snack may even give you the energy to make a full meal afterwards!
